So I just read a blog post called 23 Things to Do Instead of Getting Engaged when You’re 23, and you know what? I am not impressed. At all.
As someone who got engaged at 21, I am really not a fan of this article. Not because it encourages people from getting married later in life, but because it is rather scathing of people who DO get engaged young. The author seems to think that I should be marking my skin with a permanent tattoo, getting a pet which makes me sneeze, join a US-centric overseas social welfare organisation, make other people feel uncomfortable or bad about themselves, be selfish, convert to a different faith, eat a crap-ton of unhealthy food and flash myself at some poor unsuspecting passer-by (child-flashers anyone?).
